"Cumulus" Tag Cloud

This is just a short mini update since I've been absolutely SWAMPED in the past few months! I was browsing around and I found this really cool looking tag cloud on the Kiss 92.5 website so I decided to look into it. It was made by this guy named Roy Tanck. At first I was discouraged because it looked way too complicated for me to figure out how to use (he was using a different publishing site called Word Press) but eventually I a blogger-friendly version on Blogger Buster.

That's all the updates I have for now. I have so much stuff I want to post up on here (new posters, etc) PLUS I've decided to make a mini story line on getting my piano students ready for the upcoming Christmas Concert. I recorded part of the first group practice today (which went pretty well... at the expense of my voice).

P.S. I kept the original label cloud near the bottom for those who don't have Flash Player 9 installed on their computer. Also this wins me brownie points for usability too :)

More brainstorming

Since I don't plan on advertising this blog until I get about 3-5 posts up, I guess I'll use this space for brainstorming my logo/future blog ideas.

I'm still going with the Chinese take out box idea, maybe adding chopsticks to the side and using a scratchy type font. I'm thinking of drawing the "Thoughts, 'to go' " text by hand, scanning it in and touching it up on Photoshop. Eventually when I learn to use Illustrator (keyword: eventually), I'll make it all pretty and professional. I'm going to try and find an image online that has both an open and closed lid, that way I can make some fancy Flash intro as well. An invisible force moving the chopsticks, taking out the text logo from the box? Ooo this is so exciting! Yet it kind of scares me how much work this is going to be.

I guess I have the first part started. I'm currently installing (after searching frantically around the house) my "evaluation" (I just paid 9 grand for tuition, give me a break!) copy of Adobe CS3. I hope to also start using Adobe Contribute to edit this blog instead of logging onto Blogger using a web-browser.

Educational and fun? Or stressful and lots of work? I guess it depends on how much of a perfectionist I plan to be.
